Now that we have beaten thrang (farm mode :P) we're now on the last two bosses; the ever-seer and thaurlach/balrog. With the previous bosses toons can get by with low traits, and so-so gear, but we CANT do that with the balrog. The pic does'nt show it very well, but although proff is stacked, i still took a hell of a beating from him (don't worry, the elf chick was healing me). If we are to even stand a solid chance against the balrog, we/all have to have some kind of shadow mit, otherwise we wipe :ack: So regardless of how your toon is built with traits, you absolutely need to have either fidelity or honour traited, or better yet, both. They don't NEED to be all 7's, but i recommed atleast 5's. If you are melee, you HAVE to have it, healers are a must also (sorry, ur just too squishy), ranged may be able to avoid insta-death with....well...range :P And as much as i hate to say this, quite a few lions are not up to par with traits. If there is ever a time when ur traits needed to be maxed, the balrog is it. Some of you may have noticed that a couple of lions have been trying him out of kin, and that is because maybe only a few of us have beat him, and when we did beat him we had no idea how we did it, we jsut listened. So instead of throwing lions into his wrath for knowledge, we're learning the tricks (and yes, the levers/timing are very tricky) so that we can clearly explain and understand each move we make to tackle him. No one person can tell you to get ur traits up, that is up to you and how bad you want to see us as a kin take down this bad-ass.
ps- and no i don't play on a game-boy :P

i totally agree..kitty has with that dread (if you cant see it) 4,488 hps..and she has 25.7% shadow mitigation..and the balrog hit me for a little over 900 a pop when he jumped..low fidelity doesnt cut it :P at least 20% shadow mitigation, or your toast. every type of pot and potion..or your toast..this is an intense fight, it requires destiny hope (1k destiny points per attempt), good traits and gear. its not an issue of capable players, its an issue of survivability. Same with thorog, want a lions hele raid? see above :p oh, part of being prepared is having the right weapons..if your a tank/dps beleriand is a must, dont come with a light weapon and think its gonna hurt :P
