Bane of Thrang

Yes the Legion of Lions finally defeated Thrang Friday night. Arguably one of the better Rift runs I have been on but the battle with Thrang was one of the greatest most of us have ever been a part of. The final battle that night was with the dreaded Thrang, who has on all previous raids thwarted our tactics and strategies finally defeating the raid. This raid was different in many ways but most of all it was the tactics we tried this time that changed.

During the battle with Thrang at one point the raid lost both ministrels, our steadfast Captain Kitty and all of our tanks (PC, Froth, Jaricho and Bob). I'm sure others were defeated but the battle was so intense I forgot who fell. Once we had Thrang alone without his shaman I think the hopes of the raid were extremely high. This was the first time a raid I had been on defeated all four of Thrang's vile shaman. The battle became one of whits as much as might. Various members of the raid took turns kiting Thrang around the room as we wore him down. In the end it was Nim's LM kiting Thrang around as Mallory took pot shots and performed various burgler tricks on him until the tanks could release and return to Thrangs lair. Finally the raid reformed in time to try and finish off Thrang.

All twelve raiders screamed or typed in joy when Bob put the final blow on Thrang during an epic battle. I will post an image of the raid standing over Thrangs lifeless body later this evening. It goes without saying this was a huge achievement for the kin and I look forward to more attempts at Thrang.

Job Well done guys! That was exciting!! :D I just wanted to throw a couple of names into that story where my lm (annwyl) was kiting. I definitely would not have stayed alive if it hadn't been for noveah's healing as I ran passed and thrang would have caught up to me had it not been for Pure's arrows slowing his pursuit. I am so glad we were able to survive and keep the room active for you all to get back and finish the job on him. *cheers*

Thrang, week 2 was a dream, plain and simple. The fiasco AFTER Thrang was a thing of legend and will be spawning laughter and hilarity for a long, long time.

That Thrang fight last night was fantastic on all counts. It truly felt like we were on autopilot and it was my first time seeing him die. Grats to all who got phat lootz and to everyone else for doing a incredible job taking care of business.
