WAR Herald is up and running, along with the ability to pre-order. I'm being told that those who do choose to pre-order will be able to get in the game sooner than those who do not.

Did I miss something here? So there web site is open for preorders for the collectors version, but doesnt state officially the release date of June 10th, which several sites have been claiming for weeks?

Have they 'officially' commented on the June 10th date? Seems sort of silly to pony up $80+ on a collectors edition when no official date has been given.

All I have seen is the pre-order status at several on-line stores...no idea on real release ;)

You're dreaming on the release date Muad! Sucks, I know. I want it too. The RvR is still facing some dead ends, and needs attention. Pre-order is pre-order, it's not like they're going to forget about you and refund the money. First come are first served, no matter when it releases.

it jjust seems like a bad idea to do allow preorders when you dont have even a remote idea of the release date. Coupled with their push for people to use the eastore makes me think that the project is having cash flow issues. EA is probably not liking the bleeding and wants the project to start bringing in some cash asap. Thats how i am reading this.

Form what i've read from gamespot that the game has been pushed back to Q4. so your at least looking Nov. Dec. release now.

from what I heard of the closed beta however the game did not learn much from DAoC (perma CCed tanks etc) ... so, I will propably keep me from ordering for a while anyway.

I hit the RvR seen quite a bit, was all level 10 through 20-something but that is what everyone has done so any other opinions are pretty much false. I can't remember ever being locked down... ever. I hardly even remember getting stunned to be honest. Perma CC is something they have stated very hard that they are staying a long ways from and everything from my play has supported that statement.

Can't remember which site I saw it on, possibly amazon.com, but when I took a look on pricing for the pre-order one of them stated "this Item available October 2008" so Cavan is probably right about the date. Just debating on wheither its actually worth ordering. Sure having 12 different toon faces would be interesting but is it really something I have to get in order to proced in the game?.....Nah Pass for now.
