View Full Version : Freak stingray accident kills woman

A stingray lept out the water, striking a woman on a boat. She fell and struck her head, as one of its barbs penetrated her neck. She was killed, though they're not sure at this point what, exactly, caused her death.

That's got to be less likely than being killed by a lightning strike.

UPDATE: Now they're saying that she wasn't stabbed with a barb, and that the impact of the collision with the stingray is what killed both her and the ray.
