Hey guys, I am looking for something new that might possibly run on my laptop while I am on the road. I hardly play mmo's anymore but to be honest I am kinda craving that lowbie experience in a new world.

So If any of you experience LoTR folks can spare a moment to share the specs and maybe a brief testimonial of how the game is vs wow I'd appreciate it.

I have 4 computers that can run the game at different levels of performance.

My best performing one (very smooth at high/very high combo graphics settings):
Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz, Vista
4gb, ATI 2400XT 512mb gddr3
1600x1200 no AA

Two machines with (both running smoothly at medium graphics settings):
P4 2.8ghz
Vista, Windows XP
1 with 2gb, 1 with 1gb
ATI 8500Pro, NVidia 8600GT
1600x1050 no AA, 1024x768 no AA

This laptop (barely runs at low graphics settings):
Core 2 Duo 1.6ghz, Vista
2gb, Intel 945 graphics
in a window at 1024x768 no AA

If you're running WinXP you'll be fine with 2gb, Vista needs 3 or more. Any current gen video card will run the game, just depends on how good you want your graphics. There are many settings available to improve performance while degrading image quality.

I can run in full (direct x 9) detail on my pc, which is a pentium D 2.8, 2gb ram and a geforce 7600gt, running at 1280x1024. I'd say that as long as your laptop has a decent enough cpu, and something better than intel graphics, you should be fine with some of the details dropped based on that, as this pc isn't exactly cutting edge or anything.
