I'd always assumed the engineers up there were getting vaulted by medics and their needleguns. I don't recall seeing anyone up there since they nerfed medic launching.
I'm going to have to practise this. You'd have to be fast in order to get up there and set up prior to the other team coming in and blasting you.

it goes even faster if you have two engineers working at the same time!

Wish the demo stickies would work for this... too bad there is no Frendly Fire option :)

I need an engineer to practise this with. Hell, I need to try this out period. It's a spy-proof spot, and having been on the other end of the turret being up there, it's very effective as a defensive placement as well.

I'd be more interested in a well hidden teleporter. A soldier can safely take out just about any sentry gun on the roof safely from the zone B entry points. But a teleportor to the roof with a medic up there and a couple soldiers or demomen could be a real asset.

The teleporter up there is a given. The entry would be replaced at home base after the engineer's first death. That way anyone could port directly on top of that roof, behind the mini-wall.

I wouldn't place it right at the entrance to homebase. Many spies and others will go the C route just for the single purpose of killing those teleporters. You could always build another one but really most of your team doesn't need to be on the roof so I would hide it a little out of sight somewhere at C.
