Rift schedule: *these times will change as i edit*
All rift runs are a first come/first serve basis..if you are ready and on time, you go..i will never ask anyone to leave to make room for another player, only held spots are minstrels, must have 2 minstrels <3 for those whose mains are not in kin, but have alts in kin..you are a lion! be on time on your alt, as the raid fills, your alt will hold your spot, when the raid is filled, you may change toons :)
1-19/20 (sat/sun): 830 est both days :)
1-25 (fri): 830 est
1-27 (sun):tba

Well, the boy got his license yesterday (finally), and was able to drive himself to college. Woot, now I don't have to drive to Ellensburg on Friday.
So, I'm good to go for raids this weekend.:rolly:

Congrats on your son's "freedom pass"----Sure made my life less hectic when my 17 y/o got her car this summer. Now you just need to get used to shelling out money for car insurance and gas!!!
Fun Fun!!

He's paying for his own gas. As for insurance, he and his mom are discussing what he'll contribute.

Friday Night's run:
Pro's:
We did a lot better than I thought we would the first trip.
More than enough people around. Even without kitty and chaos, we were able to keep the raid full with kin members only.
Lots of DPS. So many champions, lol
No tempers, even when things went bad or took a long time
Most people took time to prepare (lots of hope tokens / pots / scrolls / food) Well done!
What we need to work on from here:
We need more healing classes (I think we need at least 2 mini, capt, and LM... that would be just about perfect for us right now). I wouldn't mind seeing 3 mini's. As time goes by we can push more dps and less healing, but for now it is easier to go slow and steady.
We also need to work on gear and traits for a lot of people (which should be or focus over the next week or so). If you need gear, we have people that can help. We NEED to have people push their traits up (I know most people hate farmign traits, but we need it). I would like to see everyone at level 6 or more on traits like valor / justice or whatever is important to your class. We need MM and Sarnur troll groups to get forming for our new 50s (and any other traits that require a group).
Next time needs to move a bit faster, which means more risk. However, right now we have too many people loosing concentration and slipping. Speeding it up will help that. I have no doubt that we will be able to get to the 4th boss within a couple more attempts.

I had a blast...dont think we did that bad for first time but I am pretty competitive so always want to win! Lets keep pushing and do what we need to do to get more successful.
cya next time!

;) Have we decided on a new Rift schedule yet? I know Kitty had some changes to her work schedule that affects her availability for our previous Rift times (Friday 8:30 - midnight EST & Sunday 5PM - ? EST).
For many of us last Friday was our first run in the Rift. Needless to say it was overwhelming but as the raid dragged on group cohesion seemed to come to fruition and teamwork started to fall into place. Looking forward to tbe next attempt at the Rift.
I also agree with Nanuq about traits and kin members working on advancing them. It seems like now that I am at level 50 traits and gear is the only way to maximize Frothy's effectiveness and prowess. I have completed most of the traits that can be done solo. However forming some groups to farm the more difficult ones is a must for many of us.
It would be nice if we could establish some times for grinding these traits out so that anyone interested could participate in the event. Can something like this be accomplished in a raid group just in case we have more than 6 toons ineterested?
Finally if any GM tailors would like exceptional tailoring components made for their own crafting please send Frothy your hides (so-to-speak). Trying to finish out my GM tailor, which has been a lengthy process. If any other members of the kin can spare any exceptional hides for my GM pursuit it would also be greatly appreciated.

Everyone knows the 1st two bosses now. It is time to start reading up for those that havent done the Rift past this point. The fights get more complicated further along and having some knowledge other than what we try to explain during the raid will speed things up a lot.
3rd boss:

4th boss:
http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Zogtark
5th boss:
http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Narn%C3%BBlubat
Again, thanks to all those that are coming very prepared. Everyone should have pots and tokens every raid (not to mention be fully repaired). We also need more people to bring scrolls (I know we have lots of scholars running around in this kin). Every little bit helps.
