P.S. yellow, there is like an /as-esque feature..type /joinchannel dream, go to the general tab at the top of the chat box, right click, chat filters, make sure user chat 1 is checkmarked..then type /1 (space) blah blah to talk, fastest way to see if any lions are on to invite ^.^

if you are into the fact that it is LOTR and appreciate lore then i would say give it a shot , that part made it pretty fun for a while , it is fairly run of the mill but the LOTR part made it fun for me ...

when it got to the level grind stages it just didnt have anything spectacular or new to keep me interested ...

I agree, it is a good game, but nothing extraordinary. The LOTR background is the only "really" cool part and the only thing that sets it apart.

The crafting is a little different (and I like it). There is raid drop items that can be slightly better, but really you can be extremely competitive to even the most hardcore player with a crafted set. Crafting isnt even that hard, but coming across recipes (they have one time use recipes in lotro) can be a challenge.

Overall they made it really easy to be "close" to being uber geared in this game while leaving something (getting those last few hps) for the more hardcore players.

I think I know everything about LOTR lore, considering that I read the books about 11 times in my teens. I REALLY love LOTR but I had a diff view on things from how the movies made them seemed...maybe I'm retarded. Either way, yeah...perhaps I'll give it a shot.

I've been playing WoW a lot lately with some work folks...so perhaps I need a break from that.
