The one question I had a problem with was "which mmo has your guild played the most" and I wasn't sure to put DAoC or WoW. I put in DAoC as since the beginning, that's easily the one where we've put in the most hours, although lately it's been WoW for the guild.

So I figured, 3+ years of DAoC > 2 years of WoW.

Now, let's cross our fingers and hope we get to help make it a great game :D

ps: My hopes are that they actually look into guilds who've applied:

- We've had members playing daoc for over 5 years
- One of our members is a warhammer vault staff member
- Legion of Lions alliance in DAoC is one of the top alliances on the Caerleon cluster
- We have a nice active forum/website with many participating members
- Having played a lot of WoW as well, our members are very knowledgeable about MMORPG's

In my not-so humble opinion, Legion of Lions would be great for them to have as beta testers. So, I hope they seriously look into guilds they want to test for them. If so, we should be a lock!

They had it arranged in terms of guild members, something like 0-25, 25-50, 50-100. We're in the 25-50 category. I'm not sure how many betas they'd offer out though...

Yeah, now that my initial disappointment has worn off, I am looking at this in a more positive light. This may just show that Mythic has the time and resources to commit to a polished final product (unlike the rushed Vanguard release). Besides, it might be smart to put as much distance as possible between the Burning Crusade release and the Warhammer release. Heh, I was looking at screens of the Lord of the Rings MMORPG and I was struck by how empty the world looked.

Yeah, I'm getting real bored of WoW and looking forward to WAR. Seeing as how there was some heartburn with with a couple folks when I left Asgard a couple months back (where several Lions currently reside), I don't expect to see an invite to the Beta if the Lions are selected. I do, however, plan on joining you all when WAR is released.

I'll keep an eye on the forums to find out all the details as to which side and all that good jazz. As for which class I'd play... I currently play a mage and need a serious break from the ranged casting. So, I'll likely lean towards a melee, beat 'em the hell up class.

I have no idea if we'll make it in, and if we do, how many beta keys we'd get. There's lots of people here who I'd love to have in LoL with us. But I can't promise anyone anything as we have to take care of the current Lions first. Cops/Oak/Kitty, I'd invite all 3 of you to join the Lions without a moment's notice.

Probably before. The art team had some issues scaling the dream house to fit Orks so they had to redo a lot of work.

WAR does have it's dark side but they only use that for story really, I don't think you will have a problem with it Fig. Alot of the game itself is about comedy really and the game is really going to focus on that (Listen to some interviews with Paul Barnett, with that guy on the team you know damn well it is gonna be hilarious). It will be alot like the humor in WoW except it will all be original humor and original story that has been being developed for years and years.

To be honest, if you like the humor in WoW then you will like Warhammer (since WoW is pretty much a ripoff of Warhammer)

Well, at least in the novels there is not much humor. It certainly wasnt funny reading a very detailed description of the ritual sacrifice conducted by followers of Khorne (The Konrad Saga). The book was awesome anyway, thrilling, shocking, sad... . Obviously Mythic cannot model the world of Warhammer the way it really is (i.e. players can only play followers of Tzeentch, but not Khorne or Slanesh etc), but the books certainly give you a nice glance at how that world really looks like.

Some things are just funy. Like midgets fighting donkeys. And for me snotlings are just funny. I mean they just are. So when I logged to the game I saw a few new snotling things. Firstly Jermey has managed to hitch the snotling up with a troll walking animation and it makes the snotling look even more stupid. I mean that in a good way. Gives them a swagger that is crazy on your eyes.

Next I found a public quest where green skins are busy fighting dwarfs. And some bright wag had a pack of snotlings break into a room full of boom powder. The find this out when I target a snotling only to be told it was a powder filled snotling. And on hitting him he exploded in comedy boom style.

Then I found a snottling who was trying to be a squig herder, I watched as he went to a squig cave, captured a baby squig, managed to get it angry and it chased him back to his snotling mates. There he was bragging about being a squig herder when BOOM a dwarf cannon ball piled in and blew his squig to squig bits.

Next up a snotling who offered me a quest, it didn't go well and ended with me having coffee snorting out of my nose from laughing so hard.

I also watched a squig wandering aorund in a bog pit, full of, well full of something. The snotling wandered about, moved his hand about and started eating what ever it was he had found. At the same time an Orc pounded in and threw himself into the slop.
