I'd noticed, being superclever, that y'all seem to play a lot of games as the Legion of Lions.

So, what games does the LoL play?

Right now as a clan we are just UT and DAoC. We tried Tribes 2 but couldn't get into it and it died really fast.

I'm a Tribe2er myself, but really haven't played it at all since I got DAoC.

I've never really played UT. I mean, I have it and all, but really haven't known anyone who played it, and being kinda social, I didn't really get into it.

Of course, that might change, hmm? ;)

Since I pulled the plug on DAoC, I've been playing Jedi Knight II in my spare and precious free time. This game has interesting possibilities in CTF, but it's probably gonna get owned by UT2K03, which I plan on making at least a temporary return to active gaming for.

yeah, we started as an Unreal Tournament clan on May 30th, 2000 (almost our 2 year anniversery!!!!)

we started just to play and have fun, not be serious at all. although, at one point we got pretty good (mostly because i wasn't playing, i think :p) we hit #10 on one ladder we were on, and were in a few tournaments before that pulling off a few upsets. they had an unofficial clan ranking of sorts, and we always hovered around 20-25 on it.

ok, enough shameless pimpage, i was proud of our accomplishments back then ;)

anyways, daoc hit, and that was pretty much the end of our really competetive UT days. our clan had kind of been in a funk anyways, not practicing, people not showing up to matches, etc. everyone hopped on board, except for mileena, who now sat around on irc yelling DAOC STOLE MAH CLAN!!!! instead of her favored DIABLO2 STOLE MAH CLAN. of course at this point she was playing d2 herself ;)

anyways, i think everyone from the original ut LoL has played DAoC in some form or another, except for mileena. this is why you will see a bunch of us yelling out other names for eachother, like ordair we will call hammer, and gondo we will call jammer, and morety we will call, well, morety ;)

eventually when UT2k3 comes out, i think you will see a decline in daoc time, as people juggle two addictions, instead of just one :) our roots lie in ut, and all of the original lions are eagerly awaiting its realease

it has been a lot of fun extending our little family out here :D as you might be able to tell, we are very selective about who we choose to join our little pride here. above all, we want to keep things fun :) in official UT matches, sometimes you will see two of our defenders meet up and start humping eachother, only to get shot by enemy rockets. we chose a nut set on purple and grey background as our guild emblem. alternate names for our clan originally included Hfb (hooray for boobies), eD (erection defense), and COS (cocks of steel).

anyways, for any new lions or people just curious, thats a little history :) since we only recruit people we really like, we have a saying, "once a lion, always a lion." any sort of break, or whatever you need to take, thats fine. you'll always have a family to come back too

Sounds like time for someone to pull up one of the old picture post threads so some of the little lions can post pictures and be frightened by ours.

But, to the topic, the former posters pretty much nailed it. UT and DAoC have been the big games for us. I think UT2003 will do to DAoC what it did to UT. I could be wrong though. I may at least need to get to 50 before I completely quit DAoC. I think that is a LoL requirement. ;)

I tried DAoC but whenever I was walking around I had to be looking at an angle twards the ground because my computer couldn't handle it. =\

So right now I play on the ZB server in UT, and Warcraft 3.
