I used the first of my respecs for realm abilities today, and i switched from the folowing:
Specc 1
Acuity (int increase 6pts per level) : lvl 3
Mastery of the Art (casting speed 3% inc.) : lvl 2
to Specc option 2
Acuity : lvl 2
Serenity (power regen rate increase) : lvl 3
In the brief time I was on today I conducted the following tests:
Lvl 41 eldritch with 200 INT using specc option 1.
It took 4 min 15 sec to reach full power from zero power.
then I respecced..
Lvl 41 eldritch with 194 INT (less an insignificant 6 due to one less level in Acuity) using specc option 2.
It took 2 min 50 sec to reach full power from zero power.
and the final test..
Lvl 41 eldritch with 194 INT, also benefiting from Bard power song lvl 4.
It took only 1 min 50 sec to reach full power from zero power.
Please keep in mind that the actually effects of serenity will be much better assuming you do not let your power pool drop below half, upon which your power regen rate DRASTICALLY slows. The fastest regen rates were seen once the power pool passed the 50 percent mark, which were 2-4 times faster than the previous 50 percent.
I hope this info helps all you casters and healers who may want to spend points on serenity. Special thanks to Malkovich for doing the timing (since i dont have a clock in my computer room) and thanks to Ailia for the use of her hard earned power song.
