I saw it this morning at midnight (i.e. 12:01 the 16th)

the ticket said 12:01 on the 15th, and it said Episode I, not 2, it was hilarious... we were about to go to the ticket office afterwards and say "damnit, we came to see episode 1, what's with this way better movie crap?"

The first half of the movie took forever..... The second half was worth the wait, though.

Most of you are too young to remember how exciting the first Star Wars was. EVERYBODY saw that movie several times. I'm not really looking forward to having to go again to take my kids to see this one. Yoda was definitely cool, but Aniken and Amadalla were sooooo boring. And, yes, Jar Jar strikes again.

Baddger I heard Lucas wasn't releasing the orignal 3 on DVD until after he's finished making the first three and they get released on DVD. Which totally sucks! :mad:

Finally caught it today. I love Star Wars but Lucas really needs to give up some of the writing duties. He's just not a great writer. The last 30 minutes was awesome, but a lot of the material should have been left on the cutting room floor. Did we really need that pie factory scene? Or the american gladier scene? If that movie was 30 minutes shorter, it would be a master piece. I don't really fault the actors, they just don't get great dialogue to work with. Oh, in addition to yoda, the boba fett stuff was cool. I did like getting his back story.
