just for fun i checked how much i could finance through them, and to my surprise, they would heh...

but now the question is, should i take the $2000 credit from them and buy an xps (no intrest for 18months on xps systems when purchased through 12/27/06) and pay it off before the 27%apr kicks in...

or would it be cheaper to buy the parts 1 by 1 and build myself?

just spent a bit on my motorcycle and saving for a trip to disneyland next spring, so i don't have a whole to pay out of pocket...

without software - cheaper to buy from newegg and assemble yourself -

with whatever software comes preinstalled from dell (windows and whatever else) you probably save money going through dell...

Usually much cheaper to build for a high-end.

Not usually cheaper to build an econo-system.

Normally folks that build computers don't buy from Dell/Gateway/Compaq. Ya either build'em or buy'em.
