Morrowind!

Like DAoC, but without the tedious camping, and MP RvR bs ;) or MP for that matter.

Still, character development and much deeper, as is skills, and so forth... plenty of classes and races, and you can design your own spells and magic items. Tons of guilds and little quests. And prettier too =) AND you can walk around for hours to get from one town to the next if you want, just like in DAoC (or fork over some cash and travel instantly via these huge, hollowed out bugs).

Pics of a dark elf soon. Frankly, a lot of the character models are plain ugly. But that's not saying much, as DAoC wasn't much better, nor many games out there these days (Ugly as in "You are sexy... when you wear this bag over your head")

I bought it. Played it for about 30 mins. Went back to DAoC :D Part of what makes DAoC so fun is the social aspect of it. I'll most likely devote some more time to Morrowind, but I don't see it replacing DAoC anytime soon. Besides, they use the same engine, NetImmerse, Morrowind's is just newer. Mythic is going to be showing off DAoC with the newer NetImmerse engine (like Morrowind's) and pretty graphics at E3 this year.

I think the mage guild in balmorra had one. Or maybe it was ald-ruhn. I dunno, hop around to the different mage guilds... =P =)

btw, my wood elf is wearing a set of glass armor I stole from the fighter's guild in Ald'Ruhn =)
