set my vid card settings to low(16 color instead of 32) and set my moniter to 800x600 and play in full screen, would that save me from crashing when i zone(port around toa, and /release from rvr deaths)?
would save me about 1500+ that i'll looking at spending on a new computer.

Hard to say - my personal guess would be no. I think your system is being handicapped by the lousy amount of ram in it.
Something I didn't notice before - Intel licenced the ATI crossfire (their version of SLI) for their own motherboards. Its a little more difficult to use than SLI, but it has the advantage of not requiring identical paired vid cards.

Yeah - there's no way you need $1500 to play DAoC.
You could get playable for about $800 easy... maybe less.

i like it, but i'd have to get a moniter, keyboard,cd drives also...totally whole system so i can run 2 computers. since this one still works, i could use it for 'boting' ;)

Then you'd need a router as well.
if the current pc were to be pure bot, nothing more, then you could just get a kvm switch. lets you use 1 screen, keyboard and mouse, and switch between which it is operating at the touch of a button. also means less desk space needed ;)

that would be interesting. have 2 towers setup with 1 keyboard, and moniter...i shall research the kvm switch.

You'll want a good one... cheap ones take longer between switches.

You want a new computer anyway, Luka... That's not the time to be cheap about it. :)
