Say you've written a super duper awesome incredibly fiction novel, and want to see it turn into a blockbuster movie. How do you find the right Hollywooder to get it turned into a movie?

You need to have a literary agent who will flog it around the circuit.

My ex had talked to one or two of those. Writers tend to meet them at writers conferences or workshops where they pay big bucks to interact and pitch their work.

Sayj! Thanks for the advice :) It is both very helpful and yet discouraging. I have no idea what to do with that info.

i work in hollywood but i'm in the broadcast industry ( creative direction / animation for television )

hollywood movie making is a whole other world from what i do but if i could offer any advice it's protect your ideas and present your script or synopsis in as professional a way as possible.

i do know a few directors that have done feature work and if you're REALLY serious about this send me a pm.... i would be happy to contact them and see if they have any advice or suggestions for your next step.

so - i was just askin around a bit at lunch here and it turns out that one of the great, current avenues for getting new ideas out is comic-con in san diego every year.

not sure if you're into that scene at all, but apparently there is an amature filmmakers contest that draws the attention of very prominent producers lookin for fresh new talent/ideas to make into feature films
