depending upon the size of the gathering....i use 6 lbs of meatballs for gathering of over 15 or more folks.
ingredients:
frozen italian meatballs
grape jelly
chili sauce
heat the meatballs in oven at 350 until internal temp in 160. mix grape jelly and chili sauce in pan on stove (start with equal amounts....roughly 12 oz of each for 2 lbs of meatballs). heat until grape jelly is totally melted. at this point check the taste of the sauce, if it has too much of a grape taste add more chili sauce until you get a sort of sweet n sour taste. stir into meatballs and simmer until meatballs are throroughly marinated.
i like to keep them in a crock pot on low heat at gathering and use toothpicks for guests to spear them with.
