What are factions?

And why should I preserver or not care about my relation with them? For instance, the skeletons on albion return a 'your reputation has decreased with the undead' or something like that when I destroy one. Thought maybe they would become auto-attacking mobs at first.

Some monsters are friends with other monsters. So if you kill a lot of one, the others will hate you too. Or, if you kill a lot of monsters that other monsters hate, then the other monsters will like you more. Does that make sense?

Basically, faction can cause some monsters to be become hostile that may have been neutral to you before. And while it's nice to have some mobs be neutral, I don't think it makes a heck of a lot of difference in the end. It may make some quests easier, but I wouldn't worry about it much.

it also makes getting around to certain places easier tho.. I find it's nice to have the sheeries like you, because they fucking kill me all the time. and they root you. and they kill you again and again and again.

i also hate having all the little midgets hostile too you. i'm a midget, so i can't see over the grass. it makes it even harder to see those guys, so all of the sudden you have these little wankers chasing you around :D
